Will Beavers plead the 5th to voters?

My uncle used to say that "when it comes to the good stuff...you just can't make it up...that's what makes it so good."
An example of this has come to light in the 17th district state senate race.
Democratic challenger Bob Rochelle has gone up with an ad produced by Fletcher, Rowley, Chao, Riddle (click here to view) that smokes GOP incumbent Mae Beavers over a stunt she pulled when she apparently lied about her legal residence on campaign disclosure documents and voter registration.
Politics can be a nasty business, but Rochelle's camp didn't make this one up.
Beavers' shenanigans are real and well documented.
So how will Beavers respond?
According to the ad Beavers' pled the 5th when first confronted by authorities.
We'll see if she continues to plead the 5th to voters as this hard hitting ad gains traction.

If I recall correctly, the investigation was dropped and no wrongdoing was found. The ad is BS and Rochelle knows it, but he'll do anything to try to make voters stop thinking about his love for the income tax.

As long as uninformed people keep spouting about Rochelle's completely old income tax issues then we, the voters in SD 17, are going to get stuck with Beavers for another 4 years.

Really what has she done for healthcare??? Not much since she voted against the TennPlan. What has she done for transportation and jobs in the district? Nothing!!

I think the voters in SD 17 are smart enough to know that the district was a whole lot better under Rochelle's watch than under Beaver's watch.

Well hey there bill hobbs. You are much too humble. You, being a kingpin of conservative politics knows that the prize isn't if the message that is thrown on the wall sticks, it is how much it affects the timing of the opposition's campaign. Traveling to South Carolina (as a Republican) in 2000 was an eye opener. That you would have the audacity to accuse anyone of being untruthful is a bit disengenuous. The complete Radical Right Wing of the GOP is just one big intertwined lie.

The ad is a pack of lies from the master of lies. Rochelle's biggest lie is that he's no longer for the income tax. But two short years ago as a member of the Tennessee Tax Structure Study Commission he endorsed one.

I am less concerned over where Mae Beavers lives than I am of Rochelles income tax record. Too bad Bredesen can't run for every office in the state.
