to avoid further confusion

You may have noticed that the White House and its operatives embedded throughout TV/radio talk show land, have now started to refer to domestic spying as "terrorist monitoring." Even if the spying, I mean "monitoring," occurs on American soil, it is not to be regarded as "domestic" in nature. No word yet on just who the White House might consider as a "terrorist" worthy of spying on, I mean "monitoring."

What astounds me is the utter lack of outrage. Doesn't this remind all us late boomers of Nixon all over again? Wasn't it made clear back then that secretly spying on and taping American citizens is illegal? Weren't we outraged then? So why not now? President Bush and his cronies can just decide which laws they'll choose to follow, or not, and NOBODY seems to worry about the slippery slope? Thank Gawd there have been a couple of lawsuits filed. But really, where is the impeachment?

Well, let's see: If we dig into the memory hole for a little bit we can find plenty of enemies of the Bush Admini--- ooops, I mean enemies of the state -- identified as terrorists. Here's a partial list, feel free to add your own:

1- Teachers
2- Environmentalists
3- Scientists
4- Quakers
5- Cindy Sheehan
6- Michael Moore
